Reunion

 We were all going back home

With hastened goodbyes, soft hugs,

Tons of 'I miss you's, 'keep in touch's 

And masks that helped hide tears.

We came back to our castle of good

Memories with zillions of plans to 

Build them up more with warmth and love

Only to gaze at the incomplete work 

And say what a tragedy!

We will learn to live with the despair

This abrupt farewell brings us but right here

Being alive in this moment, I feel like it'll

Stay with me forever and more.

Every corner of this place that breathed

Anonymity before feels so homely

That while looking through photographs 

of streets that you and I walked together

I am having a sad reunion with our memories.

And the irony of it is almost funny because I can't stop thinking about all the places I would go and all the words I would splash on a piece of paper to let someone know that I love them with all of my being. You have to take credit for the ignited hope in my heart that hasn't been washed down by my interaction with others and I would always be grateful to you for that. I do confuse myself sometimes. I remember the most strangest things about places. How the sun shines a little differently on the east side of the park, or how the leaves refuse to let out a scrunching sound on that particular lane because of all the shade, or how a wind blows as I walk down that small road from where I can see my home at exactly 6:26pm. Monologue of an anxious heart

  Love is a strange feeling. I have tried to write about it so many times but it never feels right. So here goes another try. 1. This isn't something you wished for but now that it's here,it feels like everything. And sometimes it doesn't. And that frightens you. Like a huge 'I told you so' from life.  2. In a world where everything starts feeling like a trial and error experiment, you constantly doubt yourself by thinking if this is it. Should you look for more?  3. Everyone is a replacement for everyone in life. It's the best and worst thing about love. 4. But, 1.
